I installed one Windows New 10 20H2 PC today, found all Microsoft updates and all Dell driver updates. The Chrome browser is installed and visible under supervision only in safe mode. Normal mode runs three Chrome background processes, as well as a special process called the Google installer.

I’ve removed a few extensions from Chrome. No help. I uninstalled Chrome and removed everything called Google or Chrome from disk and from your registry. Restarted and reinstalled Chrome, same error. And it affects every user of that system, not just the original user. And Chrome is the latest version of the calendar available.

For now, I’m just disabling the desktop shortcut so that Chrome opens in safe mode. But this will still be a problem if Chrome is the default browser and superlink is enabled.

ETA: I also deleted the profile and created a new one a few times, but it didn’t help.

I’ve had great financial freedom on three computers that had similar issues after uninstalling audio/video, testing Chrome (working), reinstalling audio/video, and testing Chrome (working)

Hello everyone! I have a complex issue with Chrome. This is your new computer configuration and Chrome will only open in safe mode.

  Nothing does not appear for Chrome in the event viewer

Does anyone know what I can do to make this work?

I have searched a lot on this topic now, but I can only find very old answers!

I was given the best parent laptop and told that this situation suddenly became “dangerous”. I installed and launched Malwarebytes. Scan results showed 113 “PUPS”. A quick look at the specific log reveals a LOT of pointless Chrome extensions. However, none of the browsers are fully working now. They have “Google” and nothing else. Tried to activate the administrator account and the steps are the same.

I rebooted in safe mode, but voila! All browsers now work as expected. Package

One of the previous searches turned up a bunch of dead links related to outdated tips. Maybe tocan you point me in the right direction?
