If you don’t have a Windows CD / DVD, you should be able to refer to the AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard to help you recover your MBR easily. Let’s see how it works:

First, create a bootable USB drive using AOMEI Partition Assistant on your work computer. Then follow these steps:

Step 1. Insert this bootable media created by AOMEI Partition Assistant into the non-bootable HP computer and boot from it.

Step 2. In the main interface related to AOMEI Partition Assistant, right-click on the recovery disk calls and select “Rebuild MBR”.

Solution5. Check Your Hard Drive For Bad Sectors

If the installation hard drive contains sectors, the message “A hard drive read error has occurred.” If so, you need to use Partition aomei Assistant to scan for bad sectors on that hard drive. Get started and follow these steps:

Step 1. Boot from the bootable media currently created by AOMEI Partition Assistant, or remove the hard drive of that particular non-bootable computer, connect it to a fully functional computer and run AOMEI Partition Assistant.
