SuThere are four different versions of the K-Lite Codec Pack. From a very small package containing only the most important decoders to a larger and more extensive package. In general, there are fewer differences compared to options. You can find detailed differences by comparing features and comparing hardware pages.
These codec packs are compatible with Windows Vista / 7/8 / 8.1 / 10. Older versions are also compatible with XP.
Packages contain both 32-bit and 64-bit codecs, so they work fine on both x86 and x64 Windows flavors!

These codecs are not created or required for video playback.
Note: Major K-Lite Codec Pack does not expand import capabilities of professional DVRs such as Vegas Movie Studio or Adobe Premiere. These applications often support publishing only small file formats, while they do not support the type associated with the codecs included in their codec pack (DirectShow / VFW). Modern publishers often only use their own internal codecs, or only support external codecs such as Media Foundation.

Important note: the additional filters mentioned above are not installed by default. At the same time, we do not recommend using these outdated filtering systems. Important note: all the redundant Mega features may only be useful to a small group. It does not provide the function of playing additional audio or video formats. If only one person is interested in reading, then the full version is enough for you.
