Can new computers run Windows XP?
The short answer is yes. Long answer: no, not worth it. You can install Windows XP on your computer using the original installation discs that you have on your computer (if that’s what the experts call old), but I strongly discourage using them.
A useful feature in later versions of Windows through XP was that you could only remove the hard drive that Windows was installed on and connect it to another computer. Before Moving The Hard Drive Or Removing The Old Motherboard
Obviously, this is the mosta phrase because you will avoid most problems and you will not have to use additional software after upgrading to a new computer.
2. Click the Hardware tab, then click the Device Manager button.
3. In Device Manager, expand “IDE ATA / ATAPI-Controller” by creating a + sign.
4. First, right-click the main controller in the list and the specific update driver, it should be the only one with the manufacturer’s name, such as VIA or Intel, etc.

This note will not help if you are trying to use the XP disk on a target system with AHCI installed. You need to make sure the BIOS is set to IDE or Standard SATA mode.

My wife’s motherboard recently broke, so I often took the “opportunity” to update her system to a perfect new one.Motherboard (Asus M4A79XTD EVO) with new processor (AMD Phenom II) with new updated DDR3 memory.
Can motherboard cause BSOD?

Of course, I knew that I needed to fix gw990 with all new hardware, but shortly after the repair, I still get the exact blue screen after restarting. Read on another forum that for this, the BIOS must be set to the IDE configuration. I even tried swapping all IDE cables … no bones.
The computer boots up normally with one beepsignal and standard lead-in panels, but it blinks for a good second that “no hard drive / DVD detected”, but when entering BIOS, it reads the hard drive specified for the master. I also authenticated the rider on an intense ride to the master.
I installed the latest BIOS and cleared the CMOS unchanged. DVD
My range of motion is SATA, which I install Windows from and usually know a lot about SATA, so I’m not entirely sure what the problem might be, but the system considered it safe in the BIOS. ..
This is an old copy of Windows XP home … don’t know which service pack. If I were in your shoes, I would even buy Windows 7 if it was installed, but I don’t know if that is the case. I was racking my brains last week and I have no ideas either.

I was left with two options: either pay 10 MS for the latest service pack media, or upgrade to powerful Windows. I upgraded windows to 7 and installed like this champion. From Accessories to the Office Depot technicians who initially (free of charge) diagnosed my software motherboard and then provided it to me based on the two options previously mentioned.
