    Outlook provides many different tools for managing email, including folders, rules, and categories. You can use these tools to organize your email.

    Use folder

    Folders can help you organize your messages. The email view has several default folders: Inbox, Drafts, Sent Items, and Deleted Items. Just guess the folders on your computer, your folders in Outlook can be nested to create multiple levels of organization. For example, you can create multiple folders in your Inbox to keep track of the different ways you receive messages.

    To create a new specific folder:

    Before creating a new folder, be sure to choose where you want to save this file. In our example, we’ll create a file in your Inbox to help you create a product message with important notes.

    1. Find and select the Folders tab on the ribbon. The Folder tab opens.
    2. Select the location you want, usually a folder location, then click the New Folder command.

    Once you have categorized some of your text messages, you can use the filter to easily view all of our messages in a specific category. For example, you can view messages from the Meetings family to see everything that indicates an upcoming meeting.

    1. Find and select the type of email filter by command on the ribbon, select By Category, then select the desired difference from the drop-down menu.
