Winamp is a media player and SHOUTcast DSP is your current encoder to connect to your online radio.
Setup Instructions
If Winamp and SHOUTcast DSP plugin are installed, it should look like this:
In the DSP Source window, select the Output tab. Under the connection situation in Output Configuration, enter the broadcast data of your TV channel. They can be found in the Radio.co dashboard under the Live tab.
- Server address: hostname, for example blue.radio.co.
- Port: for example 1234.
- User ID: Leave this field blank.
- Password: your unique hash, for example 18d484eeef23
- Connect to: v1.x mode (old server).
Select the Catalog tab in the Output window. Enter your main station data here.
- Title: e.g. MCR Live.
- URL: for example https://mcr.live.
- Genre: for example, indie.
Now select one eye encoder under – Encoder type, select MP3 encoder. In the encoder settings, select 128 kb t / s, 44100 Hz, stereo (this should match the bitrate of your Radio.co station, which is available in the Radio.co control panel -> settings -> transmission -> audio stream quality).
Make sure the live stream is scheduled before delivery, otherwise you can start it anytime.
When you’re finally ready to stream live, click Connect in Winamp DSP. The status should change to show the elapsed time and the amount of data you are buffering. Also, in the Radio.co dashboard, you actually see the status change from “Connecting” to “DJ On Air”.
