And whenever you are, I open the log file(installActions2006-10-16_06-41-37PM.log) I got this:

This means that version “33” of RPM compat-libstdc ++ is missing.

On my RHEL system 4 U2 x86 for 10g R2 (10.2.0.1.0) installed in the following RPMto solve this problem:
# rpm -Uvh compat-libstdc ++ – 33-3.2.3-47.3.i386.rpm

NOTE: you really need the RPM version compat-libstdc ++ “33”. For i386 there isalso the actual “296” version of the RPM compat-libstdc ++. Here are really twoRHEL 4 U2 compat-libstdc ++ RPM:
compat-libstdc ++ – 296-2.96-132.7.2.i386.rpm
compat-libstdc ++ – 33-3.2.3-47.3.i386.rpm

On Fedora Core 6 x86, I installed the following RPM on the market to solve this problem:
# rpm -Uvh compat-libstdc ++ – 33-3.2.3-47.fc4.i386.rpm

NOTE. You need version “33” of this particular RPM compat-libstdc ++. For i386, there is usuallySee also “296” RPM version compat-libstdc ++. herecompat-libstdc ++ two RPMs shipped with FC4:
compat-libstdc ++ – 296-2.96-132.fc4.i386.rpm
compat-libstdc ++ – 33-3.2.3-47.fc4.i386.rpm

Then click Retry on the error dialog.
