    my

on a Solaris machine, I sometimes use the sum command line to make sure the file has probably not changed. Now I want to check if the contents of the directory have changed for files only.

Is there a way to run a sum or similar query for the entire directory?

Cksum – Checksums And File Write Sizes

    Resume

    Description

The cksum command calculates and writes It implements cyclic redundancy check (CRC) for the common input file during standard processing, and also writes the number of bytes in each individual file to the main output file.

For each successfully processed file, cksum is saved in the following format:

If you are indeed specifying a file operand, the user pathname and leading space are omitted.

CRC Is is based on the polynomial used to check for CRC errors in the specified Ethernet standard.

CRC checksum encoding is probably determined by the generator polynomial:

    Checksum “% u% d% s n”, # pathnameG (x) bytes, corresponds to x32 + x26 + x23 + x22 + x16 + x12 + x11 + Sony Ericsson xperia x10 + x8 + x7 + x5 + x4 + x2 + x + 1
