Portege M200 – the hard way failed

How do I get into TOSHIBA Portege BIOS?

My frustrating Toshiba GB drive failed in my Portege M200.

I started installing a hard drive, my old laptop had a 30GB Hitachi hard drive, but the laptop didn’t recognize itabout. Requires a Toshiba hard drive or a great laptop, when I insert the hard drive I get an invalid boot disk message.

The stale hard drive shows a blue screen and then restarts the laptop.

How do I get into TOSHIBA Portege BIOS?

Turn on or restart any Toshiba Portege.Be sure to hold the “Esc” key during startup until the “Check System” warning appears.Press “F1” to enter BIOS.

No, it shouldn’t just be a Toshiba hard drive. I found a subscription list of some compatible hard drives for the above old port.
You can use the following hard drives:
    -TOSHIBA HDD2193B
    -TOSHIBA HDD2171B
    -TOSHIBA HDD2184B
    -TOSHIBA HDD2194B -HITACHI G8BC00014410
    -HITACHI G8BC00014610
    -HITACHI G8BC00014810

    Anyway, g8bc00015610
    – Hitachi, if you are trying to use the new innovative BIOS to update your hard drive, please check the defaults for using the new hard drive in your BIOS settings.

Is the old hard drive correctly recognized in the BIOS settings?
Have you tried setting up the operating system with the old hard drive?

  • Portege 4000∷ After replacing the hard drive, the WinXP application stopped

The HARD Original drive on my adult Portege 4000 laptop just failed. I sold a brand new 40 GB Samsung hard drive (withoutpart numbers mp0402h) to the local computer store they recommended. First of all, should I have a problem or format it and when should it be installed on the computer. Only I have only 2 GB broken by 25%?

Then when I try to install Win XP Home from the boot disks, certain installation stops when you insert that particular disk. 6. Does the computer correctly recognize the new HARD DISK?

How do I get into BIOS on TOSHIBA Tecra?

Is it possible to somehow go into the bios and change it as type HARD

    Hello

    toshiba portege 7010ct bios

    Stop moving?

Done. As far as I know, the device just sold two recovery discs (1/2 but 2/2) and as far as Switzerland is concerned, it has several recovery discs (in three languages).

  • Portege M750 – 2. Select the HARD DRIVE in the slot instead of the opticalCell Phone Suppliers

I just purchased a Portege M750 as my M700 was compromised. Unfortunately, the bays to choose between the two current models are not compatible. X While the user manual mentions having a second hard drive, I couldn’t find the hard drive part of the M750 caddy. I’ve tried a completely standard SATA-to-SATA hard drive enclosure, but I get a “Bay Selection Error” at startup even though the enclosure is running Windows, unless you’re in sleep mode.

How do you reset a TOSHIBA Portege z930?

Does anyone know the part number for a real second hard drive for the Portege M750 Caddy/M780? Or are there some other 2 drives where this works with the M750 without limitation?

    Hello

I’m assuming you’ll need a hard drive enclosure with part number: P000452980
Then you’ll be able to fit it perfectly into the Toshiba PA3408U-2CTE and PA3408U-1ETC ultra-slim hard drive adapter< /p>

But you can also contact Toshiba In or your country for confirmation…

  • Portege 7220 after hard drive replacement

I need a Portege 7220 CTe Windows 98se. The drive is gradually deteriorating (bad sectors), so I decided to set it up. The old drive is a good Toshiba 6GB. New likely to be IBM/Hitachi Travelstar GB 10, including presumably and apparently unused, but dateddated September 1.

Conclusion: The drive only worked once in Portégé, but no longer works. It still works via USB as an interface to another system.

I did the right thing after that. (I don’t know if there’s a group of unimportant details, I just can’t tell which might be important):

    – Modern driving with Hitachi Drive Fitness Test. Booting from the CD in the dock worked on Portege. Flawless slice player.
-Back up the image before flashing it to another computer (computer with XP desktop software) using the USB box and print it from Macrium.
-Image obtained later (with the same player) . USB case).
-Run a scandisk under XP and perform defragmentation on the returned drive (no problem, defragmentation is clearly worn out)
-Insert from system XP USB-drive and case etc.
-Reinsert into machine , renovated in Portege and continued.

How do I get into BIOS on TOSHIBA Portege r700?

The system did not start, which means (indirectly) in relation to HIMEM. SIS was missing. I have locked a drive on an XP system. In fact, WINDOWSHIMEM.SYS was missing along with the rest of thehard WINDOWS. The rest of the content of the material is suitable for backup. ??????
