The Adopt-a-Highway program began on the right in Texas in 1985. Since then, it has grown into a national and international waste prevention initiative that saves taxpayers money and allows us to be completely clean.
Adopt-a-Highway seems to have about 3,400 bands now, and we applaud the thousands of men who take their time to change the world for the better and preserve the beauty of Texas.

How do you adopt-a-highway?

The tool has proven to be very effective and has since spread to 49 states, Puerto Rico, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Japan. Vermont has a similar program called Green Up.
