Reg. Henry Bellmon says that Rand will not surprise him that McNally is gone.
Oklahoma, North Dakota and South Dakota are missing from the $ 34.95 Rand McNally World Photo Atlas, which goes on sale this month.

Don Paulsen, secretary of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, expressed his disbelief in the actual omission and said he could call Rand McNally’s representatives on Monday to explain why.

Ryan said some of the omissions did not come as a slow insult to the three states as expected.
In 1985, Rand Editors thought enough of Oklahoma to include four of the state’s cities in the national almanac of classified sites. Tulsa was 100 years old; Enid, 262 years old; and Lawton, 285.

Oklahoma, Dakota and South Dakota are missing from Rand McNally’s World Photo Atlas at $ 34.95, which goes on sale this month.
On Friday night, Bellmon asked his publicist Sam Armstrong to send Rand McNally a memo like “3.3 million residents of the great city of Oklahoma.”
