Unless you are doing something else, I recommend that you go to Avast settings (viah Menu> Settings) and visit the “Personal privacy” section. Each Avast opt-out option offers:

Honestly, I would rush and uninstall Avast completely, because you really don’t need a third-party antivirus code reader on your desktop or laptop – at least not on Windows 10, a free copy of the antivirus built into your operating system, Windows Defender < a> very powerful and does not contain information about what you are doing to sell it to third parties. If you need a little more firepower, you can also install a separate anti-malware app that Malwarebytes prefers (whose privacy policy can be found here ). Unfortunately, if future policy changes force Malwarebytes to “follow and sell” rather than “a useful anti-malware app”, stay tuned. A skeptic never stinks. (I am also a fan of Malwarebytes Adwcleaner if you need a little extra help cleaning up a new junk-filled system.)

Mac users usually shrug and smile at some Windows fellows – after all, Macs don’t get viruses. Right? Not enough. Mac can be loaded with viruses and malware; it’s just less common. Less often, maybe when you are out of your mind and click or view everything you see on the website.
If you’re smart and aren’t careful about setting things that seem odd and unexpectedly granting system permissions to whatever they want, your business will be fine. Update your system with the latest security fixes, head over to the Malwarebytes website and run the powerful ad blocker in your browserhere. Run Malwarebytes on a per-product basis from time to time to get some quick control against malware and other tools, but you probably won’t need the much more extensive virus scanning feature.
