In articles of this type, we will look at the null command error not found on Linux (RedHat / CentOS 7/8). Many times you have seen the “zip command not found” error, even if you were determined to use the zip command to compress files with Linux. This is because zip is not available by default. You want to install it separately using the advanced steps below: command

zip is widely used on Unix and Linux based systems to reduce the overall file size by compressing these monsters. There are other tools that can be used for compression, which I will include in the following articles. In this session, they will draw our attention to the “zip required not found” error.

Step 1. Requirements

c) You need a sudo connection to execute all privileged commands.

Step 2. Upgrade Your System

Before installing the zip package, you must first update all packages that may be using the latest version using the yum Renovation -y command as shown below, for whichno need to install new updates.

 [root @ localhost ~] # yum write for -yLoaded plugins: mirror on fastest mirrorDownload speed using cached host file* Base: mirrors.piconets.webwerks.in* epel: mirrors.piconets.webwerks.in* Optional: mirrors.piconets.webwerks.in* Updates: mirrors.piconets.webwerks.inPackages not marked for upgrade 

Step Three: Install The Zip Update Command

After all the vacation packages, it is time to install the Zips package with the yum install zip -y prompt as shown below.

Step 4. Verify That The Package Was Installed Successfully

After installing the zip package, you can query the rpm database and verify the installation using the rpm command as shown below.

 [root @ localhost ~] # rpm -qa | grep -i zipgzip-1.5-10.el7.x86_64zip-3.0-11.el7.x86_64bzip2-libs-1.0.6-13.el7.x86_64 

Step 5. Check The Zip Command

After installing the precious zip archive, your package can confirm using the zip command by adding any simple file.txt file to the file. zip as shown below.

 [root @ localhost ~] # zip file.zip file.txtAdd: file.txt (defl  ovano 63%) 

You can check other zip response commands with zip --help command as shown below.
