I’ve tried researching people who just point to links containing unanswered questions and guides. (I’ve downloaded these guides and the instructions below and they won’t cover the issue.)

I bought a wonderful iMac (Leo installed) last week, bought it now, you just got a fresh copy of Windows 7 at home. 100% current software updates.

I open the Boot Wizard, create a driver DVD and click Next. A

I tried to install Windows 10 using Boot Camp on my 2014 13-inch MacBook Air with 256GB of storage. It’s okay until I switch to a new eqWindows installation. I select my dictionary, keyboard layout, etc., but when I start to select the partition that I like to set Windows to Set (i.e. it’s about 100GB), it indicates that the drive may need to be formatted as NTFS ( exact error: Windows may not install partition 3 from disk 0 ). How do I create an NTFS partition in bootcamp? Often when Boot Camp Archipelago boots into the Windows installer, the first thing you need to do is select the drive you are installing Windows on to quickly erase it by making that partition NTFS. The one you choose is of course called BOOTCAMP. NOTE. Windows 95/98, Windows Me, 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista are no longer supported by support. We can only offer the best support. Reason

This error occurs during installation on Windows if the option “Leave the current file system alone (unchanged)” or “Convert partition to NTFS” is selected.

Solution

After creating the Windows partition in Boot Camp 2.0 on Mac OS X 10.5, reboot from the Windows XP installation CD. Format the Windows partition in front of it and continue with the installation process for the rest of Windows and XP. Failure to “leave the current” the file system is intact (unchanged) ”may“ convert the partition to NTFS ”, the installation may fail.
