Business Contact Manager Will Be Removed

Microsoft no longer has BCM downloads. It was succeeded by Outlook Customer Manager for Office 365. Free Tool Migration was made available on GitHub by (formerly) Outlook MVP Eric Lhis.

BCM For 32-bit With 64-bit Outlook

32-bit version should be used if you have installed 32-bit entry for Office or Outlook. In the 64-bit version, the 64-bit version of Office or Outlook must be installed during installation.

Unless you specifically chose to install a 64-bit version of Outlook, you are most likely using a 32-bit product, even if you are only running 64-bit Windows.

A built-in backup and restore method is all you need when using BCM on your local machine. There were some simple tips to help you migrate the BCM database to your beginner’s computer.

You can find the backup and restore option for BCM using location;

File-> Business Contact Manager-> Backup & Restore

There is no doubt that the process of restoring from an appropriate backup is simple; Choose where the backup is stored and enter a password for most database backups.

Be sure to include the location on a separate CD or DVD (not in a separate partition) or on an external CD. If your backup is on the same hard drive as the original database and your own hard drive fails, your backup will disappear as well.

In addition to the backup and restore options, BCM 2010 and BCM 2013 also offer the ability to export your good data to bcm files (Business Contact Manager commercial files).

These export files are not considered valid backups and should not be used for this purpose. BCM export / import function is only useful if you want to combine expoRipped data using existing data in another BCM database.

Outlook Customer Manager for Office 365 has also been discontinued and will no longer be used after June 2020.
