    Today’s guide is designed to help you if you receive the error message “The network path to the SQL Server file stream was not found.”

    I am trying to insert a file according to the database using SQL streaming to save manually. When I try to initialize the SqlFileStream object that I am inserting, I get a file exception that says the network path could not be found.

      using (SqlFileStream sqlStream = new SqlFileStream (filePathName.Value, fileToken.Value, FileAccess.Write))                                                                    byte of buffer [] corresponds to new byte [512 * 1024]; // 512 KB                                    int bytesRead = fs.Read (buffer, 0, buffer length);                                    Time> (read byte 0)                                                                            sqlStream.Write (buffer, 0, bytesRead);                                        matches bytesRead fs.Read (buffer, 0, buffer.length);

    Code error on first line while creating SqlFileStream. Below are my settings for how FILESTREAM is considered configured. At the database level, I have a file stream access level: “Full connection with included”.

    Enable FILESTREAM for Transact-SQL access:
    Enable FILESTREAM for streaming file I / O Connect to: checked
    Common name Windows resource: DVDB1FS
    Allow Remote PC Support Clients to Stream FILESTREAM Data: Enabled

    Any suggestions as to what might be the reason would be great. I have actually used this exact code successfully in other environments without any problem, so I know it must be an installation issue, usually of some kind. It might be important to note that when I try to access all Windows Shares // ServerName / DVDB1FS, I also subscribe to a “Network Path Not Found” error away from Windows Explorer. When I directly access our share on another server in a different environment (test, production), I get an “Access Denied” error.

    I created a FileStream compatible workstation in a SQL2008 database and populated it with a few lines from a generic SQL2000 core dump. It’s good.

    Then I wrote another WPF application in C # and tried to connect to the data file stream as described below:

     SqlConnection sqlConn = null; SqlTransaction sqlTran = null; Try
    // ids_static_imagesTableAdapter was created with the SQL SELECT statement:
    // SELECT UPPER (@x) image_name, image, image.PathName () AS image_path FROM dbo.ids_static_images
    ids_static_imagesTableAdapter imgTa = new ids_static_imagesTableAdapter (); sqlConn corresponds to imgTa.Connection; sqlConn.Open (); idsxi2011imageDataSet.ids_static_imagesDataTable imgDt equals imgTa.GetData (10); sqlTran = sqlConn.BeginTransaction (); SqlCommand cmdGetFsTxCtx SqlConn = .CreateCommand (); cmdGetFsTxCtx.CommandText = "SELECT GET_FILESTREAM_TRANSACTION_CONTEXT ()"; CmdGetFsTxCtx .Transaction corresponds to sqlTran; byte [] fileStreamTxCtx (byte []) cmdGetFsTxCtx = .ExecuteScalar (); foreach (idsxi2011imageDataSet.ids_static_imagesRow imgRow while imgDt) SqlFileStream imgSqlFileStream = new SqlFileStream (imgRow.image_path, fileStreamTxCtx, FileAccess.Read); Add (new ImageFile (imgRow.image_path, imgRow.image_name, imgSqlFileStream)); sqlTran.Commit (); in the end If (sqlConn! = Null && sqlConn.State == ConnectionState.Open) sqlConn.Close ();

    The SqlFileStream constructor returns an error, county “Network path not found.”

    FYR, I execute the following SQL statement in SSMS every minute:
    SELECT TOP 1 image.PathName () AS image_path FROM dbo.ids_static_images
    The result is as follows:
    XISERVER MSSQLSERVER v1 idsxi2011image dbo ids_static_images image 3B121497-07E6-4568-9DDC-EFEAA57BE6AA
