Sometimes, your system may display an error code that tells you how to change SMTP in Outlook 2010. There can be multiple causes for this issue. Start Microsoft Outlook 2010, you need to select the file, find and select Account Settings, then Account Settings.Select the appropriate account for which you want to make changes to the extroverted port and select “Change”.Now click on Advanced Settings.

First Step
- Download Microsoft Outlook 2010
- Click the File tab to help you.
- Go to the About Us section.

- Click Account Settings
- Click the dropdown button labeled “Account Settings …”

- Select your email account from the list.
- Click the Edit … button
Fourth Step
- Change “Outgoing Email Forum (SMTP)” to SMTP, the server we created with your login email address.
- Click the More Settings … button

- Select the Outgoing Mail Server tab.
- SetCheck the box next to “My Telephony Server (SMTP) requires authentication”
- Select “Connect To”
- Enter the AuthSMTP username and password that everyone provided during registration.
- For now, activate the “save password” option.
- Click OK

- Select the Advanced tab.
- Make sure the Current Outgoing Server (SMTP) port is set to 25, which is the traditional SMTP port.
- Click OK

- Click the Next> button.
- Click Finish

- We recommend that you return to the main Outlook screen now.
- Close Outlook 2010 2010 and load it again.

Make sure the “Remember my password” checkbox is checked and indeed the “Require secure password authentication” checkbox is checked.

Please note that POP3 is not an example of IMAP where your mailbox is synchronized with a server. POP3 downloads the exact email from the server and you have the option to delete the email or leave it on the server. I prefer to write it to the server until I get rid of it, hence the following settings.
