Since its inception by the Nature Society (Singapore) in 1992, some 3,500 ICCS volunteers from 70 organizations have performed their magic on Singapore’s 20,000 meters of coastline, clearing over 180,000 wasteodes of 2,200 waste bags weighing approximately 16,000 kg!

The level and scope of ICCS has increased over the years, from the beaches of the East Coast, Pasir Ris and Changi Beach parks, to pioneering mangrove clean-up activities in Mandai. A series of cleanup operations and an expanded marine environmental education program. A warning

The media coverage of these issues has helped bring the issue to the attention of the world. Mission

    Initiatives

The annual international coast cleanup will take place on September 3 in Singapore. Organizers are recruiting volunteers who can use our ICC data card to collect, classify, and dispose of marine debris and contribute to an internationally coordinated program by the Ocean Conservancy.

At other times of the year, Year-Round Shore Cleanup (YRCC) organizers may not want to use the ICCS data card and focus on debris-indicating distance.< sup>[2]

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, anyone wishing to clean up the coastal area is encouraged to clean up in small groups (according to national guidelines). Given the Delta Tribe’s pollution, it’s unlikely that a full-blown cleanup will return to his office in the near future.

Nevertheless, our coasts should attract attention all year round. Thus, independent and continuous practice is a welcome change that everyone can appreciate as the situation improves.

  • Independent Activity: Independently conduct cleanup operations on remote, camouflaged coastal rings in accordance with applicable government regulations. Stock up on pliers, work gloves, and a few trash bags for every time you bite on your feet.lie down. Responsibility
  • Sustainability. Organizations that want to engage large numbers of people should consider deploying small teams over a few or a few days. Share and enjoy the rich nature experience offered to you by this bestselling site.
  • What tide? Well, it’s recommended anytime, as trash piles up in the highlands, but at low tide, partially buried trash is exposed on the coast between high tides.
  • Monsoonal Wastebasket in the East – Coastal Park is heavily polluted by the southwest monsoon from June to September, especially in the second half of the year. The northeast monsoon continues to erode the northern shores of the Strait of Johor such as Changi Park and Pasir Rice.
