Resolution

We have a real PowerEdge 2900 running Server 2003. It trains DNS, AD and hosts a small number of files and small databases. Nothing special.
I connected 2 Ricoh Afc mp-3500 copiers to the main network and they show up next to the printer directory with no problem.
Over the weekend, I realized that I don’t have an effective RDC on my home server. I went into the office and may not be able to open a shared folder from multiple workstations, access databases, etc. It was like the network connection I just blocked. I restarted and everything was fine for about 24 hours. Restart, same results. Yesterday I could really search and I was lost. The first thing I noticed was that network printers only open when used from the printers folder of any XP workstation on the network. The assistant is clearly blocked. I noticed very poor performance and load of NEs on the server console.
I have rebooted several times from the console and it would have been difficult for aboutabout 10 minutes, but these inkjet printers just said “open” on their XP workstations. I went back to the current server and deliberately opened the printers folder. The MP-3500 is being shared and I couldn’t get a response. With that said, I clicked the Printers and Faxes link under the Start button, let alone nothing. Then I restarted the print spooler and, like me, the printer / fax folder opened (for me, as I saw it before) and everything immediately started working on the network. Printers, databases – all this I restarted the server, waiting for it to crash again, and was able to repeat the same thing several times.
It looks like there is something wrong with the queue manager, but I don’t know where to look. I’ve never seen a message spooler block the entire network this way, even with network printers – but I still haven’t seen every situation. =)
