Also, due to the configuration of the router or proxy server, the computer that is recording the actual events is not connected to the Windows Update website.

These events are reported even if no application or service installed on the computer starts or operational errors occur and.

    Reason

    • The hard disk cannot access the Windows update website due to router or proxy configuration.
    • An application was installed to interact with this Windows Security Center (WSC), possibly higher in Windows Vista. Examples are the use of viruses by third-party applications, malware scanners, or firewalls.

    Resolution

    1. Ignore these scripts. They are benign, and you can safely ignore them.
    2. Modify your router’s proxy configuration so that computers log these events to connect to Windows Update support.
    3. Disable automatic root updates on private computers that log these events.
      1. Double-click Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel.
      2. Click Add / Remove Windows Components. For
      3. Select the Update Root Certificates check box and continue with the Windows Components Wizard.

    Additional Information

Microsoft requires all software to register and interact more with the Windows Security Center (WSC), which is usually signed with a digital certificate that matches Microsoft’s internal code set by the root certification authority (CA). This CA is named Microsoft Code Verification Root Certification Authority (MSCV). Microsoft has jointly certified MSCV with several third-party code signing CAs so that these companies can continue to issue valid code signing certificates to ensure that you are their customer.

The MSCV certificate is built into the core, but not sold as part of the Trusted Root Automatic Renewal Service. Whenever the digital signature of any of these applications is verified, this special code maker signing data string becomes both the most important third party CA that issued my code signing certificate and based on the cross certificate issued by Microsoft for the MSCV. In short, two snow chains are produced and tested for suitability.

The mscv certificate is not embedded in the kernel, so Windows will detect that the CA is not trusted. In this case, if Automatic Trusted Root Updates are enabled, Windows will try to contact Windows using Update to determine if the MSCV certificate was issued by Microsoft as part of the Trusted Root program. MSCV is not available in this program, so the scan will fail.

Windows soon realizes that MSCV is unreliable, and this chain is removed. This saves another chain leading to a trusted and trusted third party root CA that can be up to date so that the signature of the application can be effectively verified. Hence, there are no problems with the application.

If Windows successfully connects to Windows Update, tournaments are not logged in the application log. Failure to find an arbitrary and untrusted Heart Certification Authority certificate in Windows Update is a persistent error and does not require special reporting. If Automatic Updates from Trusted Root is enabled, but Windows usually cannot connect to the Web SiteWindows Updates is a bug that requires reporting the events and then the errors described below.

These events are not logged in Windows Vista or later because the MSCV certificate is built into the Windows kernel. Thus, the MSCV is inherently trustworthy and therefore there is no need to look for this certificate in Windows Update.

FollowMe works with some Microsoft crypto libraries based on crypt32 library, but crypt32 inventory writes event ID 8 to the event log.

    Because
This behavior can occur regardless of whether the renewal root certificates are installed. The component is turned on and the computer cannot connect to the Windows update typeServer on the Internet. Automatic renewal of root component certificatesupdates the trusted federal root certificate from the Microsoft update serverat normal intervals.
