Windows Firewall acts as the first layer of malware to defend against criminals. So it’s always a good idea to keep them on – as long as you’re not using a third-party firewall. If, for some unknown reason, you are trying to figure out if land your Windows Firewall is constantly on startup, here are some troubleshooting steps you might want to try.

• Windows Firewall is a free firewall

• Windows cannot use Windows Firewall

If Windows Firewall crashes on startup, other errors you may notice on your Windows system are:

1. The Windows Firewall service terminated with an error specific to the eighty-seven service (0x57).
2. Error 0x80004015: The class is being instantiated to be executed by the caller as a new SID.
3. Windows Firewall service terminated due to service error 6801 (0x1A91).
4. Event ID: 7024 – Windows Service Firewall service ended with service error 5 (0x5).
5. An error occurred while starting Windows by the Basic Filter Engine service on the local computer. Error 5: Access Denied.
6. Windows has never been able to run IPsec Policy Agent operations on the local computer. Error 1068: The custom service or group could not be started.

1] To Receive Malware

First of all, scan your computer for malware with excellent antivirus software. If you have installed your own firewall or a third-party security package, this may also be the cause of the problem. In many cases, third-party alarm software can disable Windows Firewall and even prevent it from starting.

2] Run SFC And DISM

Run system file checker and even sfc / scannow. You can also run DISM and see if that helps…

3] Check The Status Of Firewall Services

Then type services.msc only when Windows starts and press Enter if you want to open services. Here, make sure that all Windows Firewall services are started and collected automatically. To do this, use the mouse arrow on the Start button. Also, ensure that the wizards are using RPC and that the actual Base Filtering Engine service is running with its value set to Automatic.

4] Check The Status Of The Driver Associated With The Firewall

Now you also need to make sure that all Windows Firewall authorization drivers (mdsdrv.sys) are working correctly.

To do this, enter devmgmt.msc in all search results and enter spacious device manager. In the “Views” tab, confirm the option “Show hidden devices” and also show devices after login.

Find the Windows Firewall Authorization Driver in the list and double-click the software to open its properties pane. Then click the Driver tab and make sure the current driver isThe process is started, and the launch option is “Requirement”. Click on OK.

5] Run The Group Results Policy Tool

If the following does not work, run the Group Results Policy Tool to complete the blocking of the firewall policy. To open an elevated command prompt window, type gpresult -z and press Enter. Check the result according to the IT guidelines, especially in the Security Settings section.

6] Run Windows Firewall Troubleshooter
