Error…Neural?
The application that tested 0x7e was a powerful Gojira Neural Original dsp archetype. I had a trial version of the new version, so I assumed that the trial version had expired and iLok blocked access to the technology. No big deal, that’s what I assumed. Although … Strange; is that I’ve never experienced this with a popup or error before. It’s better to choose an archetype (I also have a valid nolly license) on a case-by-case basis.
After trying unsuccessfully to find posts on the 0x7e forum related to Neural and some of my many other products registered with iLok, I wondered if it might have been the iLok manager. – even who is to blame.

This led me to discover other available fixes: “My license manager iLok is not working!” get, namely:
Make sure the iLok license manager is up to date.
Make sure you have all the latest Windows updates installed.

Small ka brief bing VCRuntime1401 info confirmed that the problem (at least one package of them) seems to be a common occurrence; According to this answer, this is a known bug and an incompatibility between the Visual 2015 C++ and 2017 runtimes. Seems legit, go to the latest download page supported by Visual and c++, see what happens… Because I was developing not redistributable any VC++ components that are installed .
