Over the past few days, some users reported that they encountered errors when opening Terminal-Ncurses.

On FreeBSD, I downloaded ncurses using the standard FreeBSD pkg method, but seeing some strange habits with curses that used to work, I decided to download the ncurses Foundation tarball from the official site, download and compile again under my home directory.
Compilation is fine, failed, but trying to run one of the included test programs gives:
Door terminal error: xterm.
NOTE. When finished, you will need a terminfo database or a file that is placed. installed Environment Variable $ TERMINFO for SVr4 Compliant Meeting Information Item Database for running test programs. All current supplier dates Databases are compatible with SVr4, but all seem to be compatible.
Looks like the answer is usually to install TERMINFO, but to be sure, huh? I don’t see the appointment information database in the build directory itself, but I still have /usr/local/share/misc/terminfo.db which is the result of normal operationFreeBSD. installation is arranged.
However, the parameter (csh syntax) setenv TERMINFO /usr/local/share/misc/terminfo.db (or the same without the .db extension) does not work so that change the situation.
(Note: it doesn’t matter as I haven’t compiled samples to install the local version yet, but every time I ran “configure” I used: ./configure - -prefix = $ HOME it will actually be installed in my entire home directory.
