You should check these recovery methods if the error message “Speedstep_centrino module not found” appears on your computer.
I am using Mandrake 10.0 (Download Official Version) on my Centrino laptop and want to use cpufreqd to save battery power. I have configured cpufreqd and it starts on boot. Personally, I also installed the kernel sources (I think I am using Mandrake 2.6.3-14).
But when I search for modprobe SpeedStep-Centrino I get another good error message Es:
I just haven’t installed this? Or I can’t install because I have an export version …?
Arch Linux i686, reinstallation. Kernel 2.6.31 (I’ve tried other kernels as well, like ZEN).
Computer: Fujitsu-Siemens AMILO L7300
Everything is fine under Ubuntu Karmic / Jaunty. It uses the Centrino driver (cpufreq-info).
BIOS may be updated. I also checked its settings (tried “Restore Defaults”) but didn’t find anything to do with SpeedStep or ACPI tables ..

I found a recovery for the kernel, but I don’t know how to compile the kernel with it. 고정 모듈 Speedtep_centrino를 찾을 수 없음
