Palm has released an update for Outlook 2007. This update adds Office Microsoft Outlook 2007 to Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Palm OS devices. HotSync includes features for Outlook Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, andnotes, as well as optional synchronization of e-mail without using the wireless connection.

The update is installed on your desktop laptop and appears to apply to all Palm OS accessories, including the original driver. Windows Mobile versions Treo 750 and Treo 700wx / w do not need to be updated.

Palm also recently updated its Windows Vista support page. It now includes more information about the compatibility of specific devices, computers, and features on Vista systems.

I have synchronized my Palm Tungsten E with my work computer (Outlook 2003) and
it was good. I was fired and the whole schedule was definitely transferred and
Contacts on my personal computer, which has Outlook restored. I created a new calendar
I received events on my personal computer and tried to connect to my Palm Pilot
no luck.

I have “Update Outlook 2007 (Windows Installer) as Palm OS” and it works except for one problem. If I close a reminder for a calendar entry in Outlook, or suppress an alert for a calendar entry on a Palm device, the calendar entry is copied during sync (conflict: duplicate). Before installing this update, the fact that if you closed the message or deleted the reminder, the big calendar alert did not mark the message as modified, so I probably rarely need to clean up the duplicates that come up. Sync quickly. Now I have to log in 2-3 times to deal with duplicates, which, besides being annoying, can be a big problem when I almost run out of trying to get the best date possible.

I know I can undo the Conflict Resolution setting in Outlook Wins, Handheld Wins, or Ignore, but if I make major changes (such as subject, start / end time, content) to both, you will see the calendar in Outlook Entry and some kind of entry on the PDA. I want to saveBoth of them so you can merge the changes.

Also, if I delete something on my PDA and delete the same calendar entry as the Outlook reminder, the PDA entry will be recreated. Then I need to find it and delete it again. He can get very old.

I have searched for this type of problem on this site and on this site through Google and did not find any mention of it. I also looked at Hotsync fixes, but they seem to focus more on more serious issues like Hotsync not working here, data cannot be synchronized.

Outlook 2010 Hotfix File

Convert your Palm TX Graffiti to 21, binaries seem to have been patched to work with PalmOS 5.4 (TX, LifeDrive, Tungsten T5 and Treo 650).
