Add “no” as a comment to the splash screen, as if I’m using “FOOsplash” or perceived as “no”, effectively activating the option.
How To Pass Nosplash To KernelHello I just bought a nice Lenovo S12. He left a comment on the Ubuntu wiki that he is doing well ... and it is. It's just that the beginning is a bit long (and far from thirty seconds). Wiki RecommendedDon't pass "nosplash" to the kernel to avoid long delays when booting from Karmic "

This account contains information on how to manually set this nomodeset
parameter to boot Linux.
Manual Setting Of Drive Parameter Powered By Intel "nomodeset" To Boot Linux
YGeneric Canonical Media Ubuntu (some Dell OEM media) or other Linux media does not enter the workspace or installer as usual, but the system cools down or freezes.
The first troubleshooting step that can fix the mainline issue and allow you to install Ubuntu is to disable Intel graphics by selecting the " nomodeset
" option for advanced boot.
You can do this on every launch, as shown in Part I *, or make it permanent, as shown in Part II **
Note. * Suitable for booting from a USB stick or media installation. ** Suitable for long versions if your operating system crashes or becomes heavy after installing it.
Decision I And II
Power on the system with the media installed.
Take a look at the GNU GRUB bootloader screen.
When you see the Ubuntu method as shown, press the primary E key on your keyboard (Figure 1).
Figure 1
In the dispatcher, use the arrow keys to navigate to theThe end of the line that begins with " linux / boot / vmlinuz
***" (each boot loader likes something different). (Figure 2)
Figure 2
Enter my string parameter " nomodeset
" at the end of the string. (Figure 3)
Figure 3
Now hold down CTRL + X and your system should boot up so you can see the normal installer or live environment exactly as usual.
Open an important file and enter " sudo gedit / etc / default / grub
"
Enter your password when prompted.
Move the cursor to the line that looks like this (Figure 4): GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT = "quiet splash"
Figure 4
< / li>
Change this line to match one of the following (Figure 5): (You can also remove the quiet and / splash variables to resolve non-startup issues) GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT = " quiet splash nomodeset "
