In some cases, your system may display an error indicating that the Windows Installer service displays Windows Vista. There can be many reasons for this error. 4. Click File, then click Save As and name the file Msirepair.reg.

5. In the Exact File Type box, click All Files (*. *).

6. In the Save In box, click Desktop, and then click Save.

7. On the File menu, click Exit to close Notepad.

8. 

   Right click on Msirepair.reg on your desktop and select “Run as administrator”. When prompted for an administrator password or provide confirmation, enter the password or click Next.

9. Click Yes

   when prompted to set the registry key.

10. Restart the installation process for the plan you want to install.

To reset the current installer service settingsFor Windows in the registry, use Notepad to create the registry file. Then run the file to update the Windows registry key.

1. Click Start and type CMD in the Search programs and files discussion field.
   

2. Right-click cmd.exe and select “Run as administrator”.
   

3. Type net start MSIServer and in this case press Enter.

4. Restart a specific installation process for the program you want to install.

To verify that the Windows Service Installer is running, follow these steps:

1. Click the Start button, type services.msc in the search box, and then under the heading”Programs” select “Services”.

2. Under Services (Local), right-click Windows Installer and select Properties.

3. Make sure the Startup dropdown is set to Manual.

   The Windows Installer service often starts when a Service Status: entry is set when it needs to be started.

If an older version of the program is already installed on your computer and most of you want to install it, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, select Control Panel, and then click Uninstall a Program under Programs.

2. Select a program from the list that you want to install.

3. Click Uninstall (or Uninstall / Change for Windows Vista), then follow the instructions and prompts to uninstall the application.

4. Restart your computer.
