I am using the latest PNG encoder for VHDL for educational purposes. It works with images ranging in size from 1×1 to 4×4. With an image size that is relevant to 5×5, there is behavior that I cannot figure out:

I’ve read https://www.zlib.net/zlib_how.html but couldn’t find more details. My first guess was that line filters tend to be wrong, but since two files often have the same structure, thisabout unlikely. Is there a problem with calculating ADLER32 in the second case (possible overflow)?
