Windows SBS 2003 R2 is an incremental software update for the actual use of Windows SBS 2003 Service Pack 0 (SP1). In this article, we will first install a specific portion of Small Business Server ’03 R2 on an SBS 2003 SP1 web hosting server. Install The SBS 2003 R2 Technology Upgrade To SBS 2003 Premium.

1. The installer is already running, and we go directly to Installing Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2. In fact, all other service packs are already coming up on our server.
2. The installer shows us a welcome window with the latest information on what will be installed next.
3. Accept the license agreement and click Next.

Use The Current WSUS Interface In SBS Server Manager

1. Start the SBS server and check the Windows Update hive often.

3. First sync often starts. This can take many hours. We’ll leave that for now and see what other update services have to offer. Click Change Update Services Settings.
4. We just leave the default settings to create server updates as they are. Click the Client Updates tab.
5. Client updates are set to high, which also means no service packs are being sent. We accept the defaults, then look at the Included Computers tab.
6. The Computers tab contains a movie about the computers that are turned on. In this screenshot, you can see that only the device is registered. This is because I have not configured desktops only on this VM. Click OK to optimize this window.
