Windows XP recently added a Safe Mode feature that forces Windows to load basic smartphone drivers, ignoring programs that are no doubt running.oh, delayed at startup. While this gives you the flexibility to troubleshoot startup problems, you shouldn’t be able to run your business applications in Safe Mode when some road users or background programs need it. If you restart your computer outside of safe mode, you should be back to normal mode if you have identified a problem. If Windows automatically starts in Safe Mode after restarting, you need to disable another setting.

Click the Start button and select Run. Enter “msconfig” and click “OK” to load the system installer.

When I try to start regularly, all I see is a black screen (XP messages not loading) and nothing happens.

If I press F8, I can boot into Safe Mode. I searched for system restore and chkdsk sfc / scannow and nothing worked.

If you don’t have an XP floppy with the same SP as on your computer, I’m wondering if your only option is to test System Restore with ERD Commander.

If people have files on their desktop based on the date they were restored, copy them to the Documents folder. Do this for each account on your computer.

I uninstalled and restarted the video presentation driver. Only safe mode worked, same problem.

If you don’t have another XP installation disc with the same SP that the netbook is installed on, I think your only option is to try System Restore with ERD Commander.

If you placed files on most of your desktop after the restore point date, clone them into the Documents folder. Make it different for each computer account.

You have tried almost everything, including sfc / scannow. I think at the moment your only choice is to change the installation design if your hard drive has the same SP that is currently on your computer.
